Just wow, Jen. What a great example of living with grace. And what a blessing that the craniotomy was successful.
FYI my memoir is about living in an ashram in my 20s, and the practices totally changed my life, even if the org was a little bit culty. Would love to discuss all things meditation / disassociation with you some day.
I found mine while learning widowhood. Almost 16 years later, I'm still learning to keep my mouth shut, avoid flame wars, and my fingers on the keyboard. Peace is not automatic; one must strive for it.
Also, I’m sorry you’ve had to learn widowhood. My mom got that curriculum when she was 38. I never realized how young that was until I reached that age, 12 years ago.
Great food for thought Jen! I’ve found that meditating during dental procedures is a unique gift. Especially tuning down the drill noises. ♾️💜💋
Yes! I aim for astral projection during dental work.😉
Yes! It absolutely helps.

I’ll have to read! Which ashram? Was it here in the states? I’ve got other friends from other ashrams here…
I lived in the Siddha Yoga ashram in the Catskills, but the main one is in India. Handing it to publisher tomorrow! Out in one year.
Congrats! That is huge! Big Mazel!
Ty!

Thank you. I was 57 and the only one amongst my friends. It was a tough curriculum but I'm still standing.
ps: I save all my flame throwing for my blog, THE WIFELY PERSON SPEAKS. (grin)
I’m learning when to keep my mouth shut and when not to! This gets both easier and more difficult with age—depending on many factors!
